~*~Saying Goodbye~*~

We’re over, done, and through.

It’s time for me to walk away.

My vacation is due

And there’s nothing left for me to say.

Yet you continue to stare

And can’t get a clue.

Your hand slides exasperatedly through your hair.

There’s nothing left that you can do.

When I’m with you, I feel trapped.

So leaving isn’t something that I’ll ever regret.

I’m telling you now, and this is fact,

Eventually you will forget.

Don’t call me tomorrow

When you are feeling sad.

Just face up to your sorrows…

So what if I’m the best thing you ever had?
